James V Guarrera

Biography

James V. Guarrera, MD, FACS is a Professor of Surgery and Chief for the Division of Liver Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Surgery at Rutgers, New Jersey Medical School. He graduated from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He completed his Residency in Surgery and Research Fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center in 2004 which was followed by fellowship training in Multi-Organ Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Surgery also at Columbia. Prior to coming to Rutgers, NJMS, Dr. Guarrera held key leadership positions as Surgical Director of Adult Liver Transplantation and Program Director of the Abdominal Transplant and Hepatobiliary Fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center
