    Role of Women in Peace Initiatives

    The study seeks to support the work of the Nigeria Stability and Reconciliation Programme (NSRP) and more specifically the aspect of the programme that focuses on Women and Girls. The framework within which the work on Women, Peace and Security operates is the United Nations Security Council Resolution on women, peace and security (UNSCR 1325). Excerpts of this study will feed into the planned refresh of the National Action Plan (NAP) 1325. It is anticipated that the research will also be useful for the implementation of all programmes and interventions that seek information in the area of Women, Peace and Security in Nigeria.
