Targeting drugs to the brain or Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is limited because of the physiological barriers like blood-brain barrier and blood-CSF barriers. Alternative non-invasive, patient compliant delivery routes like intranasal route was investigated by several research groups to target both small and large molecules.
