Abstract
Pharmacological Properties Of Anthocyanin Extracted From Alpinia Purpurata

The study clearly demonstrated that methanol and acidified methanol extract of Alpinia purpurata have a good antioxidant activity and anti-cancer activity. The anticancer activity may be due to the presence of anthocyanins, alkaloids and flavonoids respectively. We hope that the intensive study on the out coming active constituents of Alpinia purpurata will lead to the discovery of a noval botanical drug for cancer.
